Who are we?
We are a group of Teacher Candidates from UBC Vancouver who are trying to bring more awareness to the practice of mindfulness through health, outdoor, and physical education curriculum in British Columbia. See below to meet our team!
What is our purpose?
Our website and resources were developed to bring mindful moments to school communities. Our posters, activities and lessons were initially created to highlight the importance of mental health during the COVID-19 global pandemic, but we feel they are useful at any time (with or without the pandemic!). The activities can be widely used to develop strategies to use in challenging times and teach self reflective thinking. The posters can be posted around your school community to help bring an uplifting moment by using mindful activities.
Our goals:
Our goals:
- Provide usable and effective strategies to manage stress.
- Highlight the importance of mental health.
- Further build a sense of community within the school.
- Help students with self reflection and self connection.
